When buying the resurfacer you should check the label so that it can cover the whole floor.

  • Step Two - Clean the Slabs and Fill the Cracks and Holes

After that, you should clean the slabs by using a stiff brush and concrete degreaser. Then rinse the floor at least two times to remove the elements properly.

  • Step Three - Now Find the Pits

You should create a marked size of 1/4 in. from the tip of a pencil. You can use the technique as a depth gauge to identify the locate pits and circle them. After that, you should chisel away if there are any loose elements around the craters and cracks.

  • Step Four - Fill the Craters, Cracks and Pits

Now, you have to mix the resurfacer with the water and fill the cracks, craters and pits. Keep in mind that you have to add a specific amount of water to make the workable consistency. After that, you may have to take some time to dry the patches. How much time it takes completely depends upon the weather.

  • Apply the Resurfacer

You have to mist the concrete in a particular way so that it remains wet. Then you can be assured that the concrete will not absorb the water from the mixture. After that, you have to mix the resurfacer by using corded drills to blend it well. Next, you have to spray it smoothly over the surface and let the thing set. You should apply the resurfacer very quickly because the mixture can dry within 30 minutes. You should not cover the weather stripping joints between the slabs.
